ILOILO City – Six sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P60,000 were seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Aganan, Pavia, Iloilo.
Operatives of the Pavia municipal police station staged the entrapment operation, which led to the arrest of the 25-year-old Welvin John Lebrilla of Barangay Pandac, Pavia and his alleged cohort 30-year-old Jessie Jay Lizada of Barangay Balabag, Pavia around 9 p.m. on Oct. 4.
Prior to their apprehension, the suspects sold P1,100 worth of the prohibited substance to a poseur-buyer.
Police Major Jojo Tabaloc, Pavia police chief, said the suspects were newly-identified drug personalities. They were placed under surveillance for almost a month prior to the operation, he added.
The suspects were taken to the municipal police station, facing charges./PN
