Pediatric vaccination kicks off in Capiz

ROXAS City –A ceremonial inoculation of Capiz’s youngsters 12 to 17 years old with comorbidity at the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital (RMPH) on Nov. 4 kicked off the pediatric vaccination against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the province.

The provincial government will also utilize district hospitals for the vaccination, said Gov. Esteban Evan Contreras.

The Provincial Health Office (PHO) targets to vaccinate 90,000 youngsters.

It has sufficient COVID-19 vaccines from the national government, it stressed.

The province already received seven vaccine brands – Sinovac from China, Sputnik V from Russia, AstraZeneca from the United Kingdom and Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson from the United States of America.
A total of 550,518 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to Capiz residents since March. (JBG/AAL/PIA Capiz/PN)
