BACOLOD City – The physician for the Land Transportation Office (LTO) at a mall in this city who was found dead around 6:20 a.m. on Thursday has wounds on his chest, an autopsy performed on him showed.
The 82-year-old Dr. Felix Valenzuela was found lifeless along Kilometer 14, Barangay Calumangan, Bago City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
Senior Inspector Hercules Trigue of the Bago City police station said they already have “persons of interest” in Valenzuela’s death.
Valenzuela was found in his Hyundai Eon, which was been parked along Kilometer 14 since 5 p.m. on Dec. 27.
Police said the residents thought the car has mechanical trouble.
Based on the initial investigation, Valenzuela went to a bank to withdraw after leaving the office.
Trigue said they already requested closed circuit television camera footages from Robinsons Place.
Recovered from his car were P10,240 cash, 20 LTO cards, a Nokia cellphone, a Blackberry cellphone, and assorted documents.
Police said Valenzuela has a missing cellphone. He owns three.
Valenzuela was a city health officer in Bago City before working at the LTO./PN
