BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has gotten in touch with the persons named in a list that accompanied the two severed feet discovered on Wednesday morning, March 29, at a gasoline station along C.L. Montelibano Street in Barangay Villamonte.
Police Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir, BCPO director, said at least four people were on the list, including a lawyer and two businessmen.
Police Station 4 commander Captain Greeky Cayao also said they already have a lead as to who left the plastic bag that contained dismembered feet and the list.
It is possible that the threats against the four were business-related, Cayao also said.
As to who owned the feet, he said they have on lead yet.
Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran said in a radio interview that the police need to find out who are the individuals behind the feet mutilation.
Familiaran also welcomed Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez’s plan to set aside an intelligence fund to strengthen the city government’s anti-crime monitoring.
In January, a pair of severed hands placed in a container with stewed beef was recovered from a garbage pile in Barangay 2.
With the container was a list of names allegedly involved in illegal drug activities./PN
