SAN JOSE, Antique – Security preparations are in place to ensure the peaceful and orderly observance of All Saints’ Day on Nov. 1 and All Souls’ Day on Nov. 2, according to the San Jose police station.
Superintendent Norby Escobar, San Jose police chief, reminded the public not to bring bladed weapons, liquor, and loudspeakers inside cemeteries.
Do not wear expensive jewelries, too, and be careful with valuables to avoid being victimized by criminals, Escobar stressed.
“Before going to the cemetery, make sure to also secure your houses against burglars. Unplug electrical appliances to prevent fires,” the San Jose police chief added.
Policemen will be deployed to various convergence areas such as cemeteries, bus terminals, and main thoroughfares.
“The law enforcers could as well provide assistance to the traveling public and motorists and intensify traffic management,” added Escobar.
Aside from policemen in uniform, undercover cops will also be deployed in cemeteries.
