PORTLAND Trail Blazers went on a huge run in the second half to take down Boston Celtics, 114-108, in the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season on Sunday night (Monday in the Philippines) in Portland, Oregon.
Shaedon Sharpe led Portland with 26 points, knocking down five of his eight attempts from beyond the arc. Deni Avdija delivered an all-around performance with 24 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds.
Toumani Camara finished with 20 points. Rookie center Donovan Clingan posted a double-double of 18 points and 18 rebounds, and Caleb Love provided 18 points off the bench as Portland snapped a three-game slide.
The Celtics, who finished with 43 percent shooting from three-point area, held a 63-55 advantage at halftime, but Portland seized control by outscoring Boston 31-22 in the third quarter.
The game was tied at 100 after a Derrick White driving layup with 4:47 remaining, before Love drilled a three-pointer on the next possession to give the Trail Blazers the lead for good.
Boston saw its four-game winning streak come to an end despite a strong showing from Jaylen Brown, who scored 37 points. Anfernee Simons and Hugo Gonzalez contributed 13 apiece.
Meanwhile, Alex Sarr scored 20 points and blocked a career-best six shots to help the Washington Wizards to a 116-112 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in Washington, DC.
CJ McCollum added 16 points for Washington (7-23), which earned its first back-to-back victories of the season and second win over Memphis in nine days. McCollum scored six in the fourth quarter.
Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 31 points and Ja Morant added 21 for Memphis (15-17), which failed to reach the .500 mark for the first time since the Grizzlies were 3-3 following a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Oct. 31.
In other results, defending champions Oklahoma City Thunder bounced back with a 129-104 win over Philadelphia 76ers, while Toronto Raptors edged Golden State Warriors in overtime, 141-127./PN
