SHARE prices on the Philippine Stock Exchange ended the week on a positive note Friday as investors’ hunt for cheaper stocks pulled the market up towards the trading’s close.
The bellwether PSEi gained 4.66 points or 0.09 percent to 5,346.97 at the closing bell. The broader All Shares increased by 21.18 points or 0.65 percent to 3,259.66.
“Last minute bargain hunting lifted the local bourse to a close of 5,346.97, up by 4.66 points,” Philstocks Financial said in a daily market report.
“Industrials led gainers climbing 1.68 percent. Properties were at the tail end shedding 1.39 percent,” it said.
More than 293.296 million shares valued at P4.032 billion, changed hands. Advancers led decliners, 98 to 74, and 39 issues were unchanged.(GMA News)
