BACOLOD City – A retired United States Navy committed suicide in his house on Mabini Street in Barangay Zone 4, Cadiz City, police said.
The police identified the victim as resident Diogracia Salud, 64.
Wife Napola discovered him hanging on the steel stairway with a belt tied around his neck around 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, a police report showed.
Napola brought him to Cadiz Emergency Clinic where he was pronounced “dead on arrival.”
Initial investigation revealed the victim suffered from a psychological problem.
The body will be subjected to a post-mortem examination, police said./PN
