ILOILO City ¬– Maintenance activities to be undertaken by the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) will cause power interruption in parts of Iloilo, Guimaras and Antique.
It will start 5 a.m. and end 5 p.m. today.
Normal operations will resume after, assured NGCP in an email advisory.
NGCP advised customers to take the necessary preparations and precautions for the scheduled interruption.
To be affected by maintenance work are the power transformer nos. 1 and 2 of the Sta. Barbara substation in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo and the Sta. Barbara – San Jose line.
The power disruption will affect the whole franchise areas of Iloilo Electric Cooperative, Inc. 1 (ILECO 1) including the towns of Alimodian, Cabatuan, Guimbal, Igbaras, Leon, Maasin, Miag-ao, Oton, Pavia, Sta. Barbara, San Miguel, San Joaquin, Tigbauan, and Tubungan.
Guimaras Electric Cooperative, Inc. and some areas covered by the Antique Electric Cooperative, Inc. in San Jose, Sibalom and Hamtic will also be affected.
The management of ILECO 1 has already advised its affected member-consumers about the scheduled power interruption. (PIA/PN)
