ROXAS City – A suspected drug pusher in Barangay Punta Tabuc had been shot when he resisted arrest.
Salvino Albino tried to grab the gun of the policeman out to arrest him, the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group(PAIDSOTG) claimed.
Identified only as “Police Officer 2 Casabon,” the policeman bought suspected shabu from Albino as poseur buyer, police said.
Albino and the officer grappled for the firearm, but the latter reached and pulled the trigger, hitting the suspect on the left arm.
Albino was taken to the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital where he was recuperating as of this writing.
The suspect yielded two sachets of suspected shabu, a cellphone, a motorcycle, and the P500 marked money.
The PAIDSOTG-Team Alpha led by Inspector Wilfredo Venus Jr. staged the entrapment around 5:50 p.m. onThursday./PN
