BACOLOD City – A 26-year-old man committed suicide by hanging in Barangay Singcang-Airport, police said.
Gerald Vidal was found hanging from a wooden beam of an abandoned house with a nylon rope tied around his neck.
Vidal was a resident of Barangay Paraiso, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
His distant relative Rheumark Espinosa was checking on his fighting cock at their backyard around 6 a.m. on Monday when he asked live-in partner Emily Esperga to look for a rope, police said.
Esperga reached the abandoned house, about 8 meters from their house.
That was when she found the lifeless Vidal and shouted for help./PN
