BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu was confiscated from a man at a police checkpoint in Barangay Suba, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
Jelven Hillado, 35, was onboard his motorcycle around 9 p.m. on March 2 when flagged down by the police.
Recovered from his possession was a sachet of the prohibited substance valued at P588, police said.
His motorcycle was impounded, too.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Calatrava police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
