BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu weighing about 240 grams valued at around P1.9 million was seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Estefania.

The 20-year-old Mark Sy yielded the suspected illegal drugs, a police report showed.

Sy – resident of Barangay 6 – was nabbed after he sold suspect shabu to an undercover cop for P2,000 around 7:30 p.m. on March 15.

When frisked, Sy yielded a .357-caliber revolver, P1,500 cash and drug paraphernalia, it added.

According to Major Sherlock Gabana, chief of Police Station 2, the suspect has been operating in the villages around the area of the police station, including in the suspect’s residence.

“This is our third operation against him. We have been monitoring his movement for about a month before his arrest. We did not expect that he is possessing such big volume (of shabu),” Gabana said.

The suspect was detained in the custodial facility of Police Station 2, facing charges./PN
