‘Shabu’ worth P240T seized in Alijis bust

BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu worth an estimated P240,000 was recovered in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Alijis.

The suspected illegal drugs contained in 11 plastic sachets were confiscated from residents Erick Tam, Carlo Umadhay and Eliseo Salvado, a police report showed.

The three were caught around 6 p.m. on Saturday after Tam sold suspected shabu to an undercover police officer for P1,000.

The City Drug Enforcement Unit of Bacolod City Police Office staged the sting operation.

Detained in the lockup facility of Police Station 7, the suspects were facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
