BACOLOD City – Packs of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P55,000 were recovered in a buy-bust operation on Saturday in Burgos Parola, Barangay 6, San Carlos City.

The suspected illegal drug weighed 5.5 grams, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said.

The PDEA also arrested five persons during the drug bust – Orlando “Dingdong” Macahito Traspadillo Jr., 46, a resident of the barangay; Roy Macahito Traspadillo, 38;   Kim Silva Batusin, 26, of Locsin Street, Parola, Barangay 6 in the city; John Agraviador Silva, 26; and Guiller Patrick Camorista Rigor, 26, of 7th Street, Margarita Village, Barangay 2, San Carlos City.

Police operatives arrested the suspects after they handed a small pack of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer in exchange for P500 marked money.

Also confiscated were six packs of suspected shabu, seven plastic sachets with suspected shabu residues, P800 cash, and other drug paraphernalia.

Detained, the suspects are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
