BACOLOD City – A father and son fought over a missing boat paddle. The father ended up dead.

Sipawan’s son, the 34-year-old suspect Adrian, fled after the stabbing but was arrested before dawn on Saturday.

According to the police, Herminio was looking for the paddle and asked Adrian about it.

The son, who was drunk that night, got mad and both had a heated argument.

A fistfight ensured. Adrian’s wife tried to pacify the two men but got hit during the scuffle and lost f consciousness.

Seeing what happened to his wife, Adrian took a knife and repeatedly stabbed his father, according to Superintendent David Cachumbo Jr. of Bago City.
