ILOILO City – A teenager died after the motorcycle he was driving crashed against the rear of a truck in Barangay Binangkilan, Santa Barbara, Iloilo.
Edgardo Laboro Jr. of Barangay Lanag, Santa Barbara was pronounced “dead on arrival” at the Western Visayas Sanitarium.
The 17-year-old was not wearing a helmet. He sustained head injuries and a fractured leg, a police report showed.
His black Honda motorcycle collided into the Isuzu truck at around 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday.
At the time, Laboro was driving from Barangay Bita-og Gaja, New Lucena, Iloilo.
Meanwhile, the 52-year-old truck driver Remuel Leonor has just unloaded cargo and driving the vehicle in reverse across the road, police said.
Leonor, a resident of Barangay Bato-Bato, Mambusao, Capiz, was placed in the Santa Barbara police custody./PN
