ILOILO City – A pedicab driver had been stabbed in Barangay Yulo Drive, Arevalo district.
The 54-year-old resident Julie Cordova was taken to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district.
Police identified his fellow pedicab driver – 32-year-old Joseph Pineda of the same district – as suspect.
A heated argument ensued between the two pedicab drivers while waiting for passengers at around 7 p.m. Wednesday, a police report stated.
Pineda then stabbed Cordova, striking the latter on the back, police said, citing witnesses.
Pineda fled after the incident. Police launched a manhunt operation against him./PN
