ILOILO City – A village watchman was found dead in their house in Barangay Cansilayan, Buenavista, Guimaras.
Gerald Lemery shot himself using a 12-gauge shotgun, a police report showed.
Lemery, a resident of the village, sustained a gunshot wound on the chest, the report added.
He was rushed to the Buenavista Emergency Hospital where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
According to police investigators, the incident happened at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Lemery’s family believes he committed suicide, the investigators added. But it was not immediately established what circumstance led the victim to end his life.
Officers of the Buenavista ruled out foul play in the incident./PN
