ANTIQUE – Officers of the Anini-y Municipal Police Station (MPS) apprehended three individuals engaging in illegal gambling in Barangay Talisayan, Anini-y town.
Aliases “Mer,” 47, “Andrei,” 37, and “Raffy,” 34, residents of the aforementioned barangay, were caught playing tong-its around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11.
Recovered from their possession were a deck of playing cards and P183 bet money.
The suspects were taken into custody by the Anini-y MPS for violating Municipal Ordinance No. 2017-17 (illegal cards game).
Police said they were later released after paying fines./PN
