BACOLOD City – Crossing the road led to the death of a Baguio City resident in Barangay Gargato, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the victim as the 52-year-old Restituto Ramos of Barangay 122, Baguio City.
Ramos was temporarily residing in Sitio Acacia in the village where the accident happened around 8 p.m. on Oct. 21, a police report showed.
Ramos was hit by a motorcycle driven by an unidentified person with two back riders, and then overrun by a truck driven by Ronnie David, 42, of Barangay 4, Hinigaran.
The suspects fled after the incident.
Passersby rushed Ramos to the Hinigaran Emergency Clinic where Dr. Jansen Vergara pronounced him “dead on arrival.”
Police have yet to arrest David and were still identifying the motorcycle’s driver and passengers./PN
