Unlicensed gun puts man behind bars

BACOLOD City – Police arrested a man for owning an unlicensed gun in Barangay Tinongan, Isabela, Negros Occidental.

Armed with a search warrant, officers of the municipal police station raided the house of 36-year-old Jimmy Relativo on Sept. 16, a police report showed.

An improvised shotgun with an empty magazine was recovered from the suspect’s house, it added.

Police officers served the warrant issued by Judge Cyclamen Fernandez of the Regional Trial Court Branch 63 in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental dated Sept. 12, 2019.

Relativo was detained in the lockup cell of the Isabela police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
