UST men’s basketball team ‘unhampered’ by COVID

MANILA – University of Santo Tomas (UST) men’s basketball team remains unhampered by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic’s wrath.
A source from the Growling Tigers camp told Panay News on Sunday that there would be no one bidding farewell to the current roster. 

Wala namang pagbabago sa team. Unaffected parin ang basketball,” said the source who refused to be named. “In fact, the players were told to stay fit as they will resume practices after the lockdown.”

Another source, meanwhile, revealed to Panay News that the women’s volleyball team of UST took a minor blow. Benefits of its key players have been diminished and some of its reserve players were dropped from the roster.
UST’s athletics team was also reportedly affected by the virus outbreak as some of its players were erased from the lineup.
National Collegiate Athletic Association teams Colegio de San Juan de Letran and University of Perpetual Help Altas have decided to scale down their sports teams while Technological Institute of the Philippines has dissolved its sports program./PN
