CAPIZ – A senior citizen lost his life after getting hit by an ice cream van in Barangay Poblacion Takas, Cuartero.
The victim, known as “Isko,” a 69-year-old resident of the town’s Barangay Agdahon, was pronounced dead on arrival at Dao District Hospital.
The van driver was identified as “Lino,” a 25-year-old resident of Barangay Cortez, Balete, Aklan.
According to the Cuartero Municipal Police Station, Isko was riding his motorcycle on Sunday at around 11:40 a.m., Nov. 12, when he got hit by the van at the intersection of the national highway.
The Cuartero police have taken custody of the van’s driver for proper disposition./PN
