WIT dominates ILOPRISAA meet tertiary athletics

ILOILO City – Western Institute of Technology stamped its class by capturing the overall championship in the tertiary women’s and men’s category of the 2019 Iloilo PRISAA athletics here.


Jhoanna Rose Sajonia and Lorena Damasco have four gold medals each with the former topping long jump, triple jump, javelin throw and 4×100 relay, while the latter ruling 100 and 400 meter run, 100 meter hurdles and 4×100 relay.


Abegail Odelmo also finished with four golds in 3k and 5k run, 1500 meter run and 4×100 relay, while Ezel Divinagracia have three golds in 400 meter hurdles, 200 meter run and 4×100 relay.


Dailyn Cubita had gold in shot put gold and silver in discus throw, Abeghail Clemente with gold in walk and bronze in 800 meter dash, while Jenerose Estiga and Caryl Mae Tocino clinched golds in 800 meter run and discus throw, respectively.


Alfrence Braza topped WIT tertiary men’s team with three golds in 10 and 5 kilometer run and 1500 meter, while Ronald Lacson captured golds in shot put and javelin throw and silver in discus throw.


Jeizel Guillergan won gold in 200 meters run, silver in 100 meters run and bronze in 4×100 relay, Roger Bargat ruled the 800 meter run and placed second in 1500 meters, Alden Doronilla with gold in 3k and bronze in 5k, Jude Fuentes with 400 meter gold and 4×100 relay bronze and Rey Latumbo with gold in walk.


Steve Debuque won silver in 400 meter dash and bronze in 4×100 relay, Radney Penoscas with bronze medals in 100 meter dash and 4×100 relay, Jan Bolivar with bronzes in shot put and discus throw and Rene Gallo with 800 meters silver and 3k bronze.


Ariel Dereza win silver in 100 meter hurdles, Albert Acerdano also with silver in walk, while Jimmy Calderon ended with bronze in 10k./PN
