AKLAN – A 60-year-old woman was found dead after she reportedly drowned along a riverbank in Barangay Torralba, Banga town on Sunday, February 8.
The victim was identified as Juvy Randoy, a resident of the said barangay.
According to her husband, Rizaldy Randoy, the victim left her workplace and headed home on Saturday but failed to reach their house. He said he waited for his wife until late in the evening and later attempted to look for her when she did not return.
When the victim remained missing into the night, the family sought assistance from relatives and barangay officials to conduct a search.
In the early hours of Sunday, Rizaldy found his wife’s lifeless body along the riverbank in their barangay.
The victim’s remains were brought to a funeral parlor, while authorities continued to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Meanwhile, the victim’s husband appealed for financial assistance to help cover funeral and burial expenses, citing the family’s limited financial capacity.
