ILOILO City – A woman charged with violation of Batas Pambansa 22 (four counts) was served with an arrest warrant on Thursday at the Riverside Park in Guimbal, Iloilo.
Batas Pambansa 22 is the law penalizing the making or drawing and issuance of a check without sufficient funds or credit.
Carla Jane Escorpion of Barangay 4, Poblacion, Igbaras, Iloilo was served with the arrest warrant around 1:15 p.m., police said. She was brought to the municipal police station.
A P6,000 bail bond was recommended for her temporary liberty.
It was unclear, as of this writing, if she posted bail./PN
