ILOILO City – For alleged shoplifting, a woman from Barangay Bagacay East, Maasin, Iloilo was arrested in this city, a police report showed.
Mary Ann Hurrem, 40, was accused of taking ready-to-wear items worth more than P6,000 from SM Delgado mall without paying for them.
According to the police report, Hurrem took the items from the display racks, placed them inside an SM plastic bag, and left the establishment via the Calle Simeon Street exit without passing by the cashier.
A security guard ran after her and placed her under citizen arrest.
Seized from her were a pair of short pants with belt worth P799.75, a Grizzly dress worth P949.75, another Grizzly dress worth P799.75, a pair of long pants worth P749.75, a blouse worth P999.75, a pair of kid’s sandals worth P349.75;
Another pair of shorts worth P499.75, a pair of Twill shorts worth P299.75, a pair of legging pants worth P169.75, another blouse worth P399.75, a baby bra worth P249.75, another blouse worth P299.75, and a pair of pedal pants worth P499.75.
All the items had a total cost of P6,866.75.
The security guard turned Hurren over to Police Station 1 where she was detained.
