ILOILO City – Two motorcycles crashed into each other in Barangay Poblacion, Ajuy, Iloilo.
One fatality was recorded, police said. He was 29-year-old resident Leonard Palmes.
Four persons were also injured – Resti Herida, 38, and Palmes’ children Lea Grace, 12; Leory Mae, 10; and Leomar John, 4.
They were recuperating at the Sara District Hospital.
The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 27.
The Palmes family was bound for the town’s Barangay Culasi when hit by a motorcycle driven by 45-year-old Willy Roque with Herida as backrider.
Roque was detained in the lockup cell of the Ajuy police station. Reckless imprudence resulting to homicide and frustrated homicide charges may be filed against him./PN
