ILOILO City – Two jail officers of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) were injured in a road crash in Barangay Bungco, Pototan, Iloilo.
Senior Jail Officer 1 Ariel Cumbillo, 48, of Santa Barbara, Iloilo and Jail Officer 1 Krishna Rama, 31, of La Paz district sustained injuries on the body.
According to police investigation, the incident happened around 11 p.m. on Dec. 22.
Onboard a multicab, Cumbillo and Rama were on their way to the Iloilo District Jail in Barangay Nanga, Pototan.
Cumbillo lost control of the vehicle and went-off road, hitting an electrical post.
The two jail officers were brought to the Iloilo Provincial Hospital in Pototan for medical treatment./PN
