ILOILO City – Two residents of La Paz district complained to the police that they were physically attacked in separate incidents.
A suspect in one of the attacks was arrested – Eduardo Ardama Mationg – a police report showed.
Rosalina Parcon Salbiron of Barangay Railway told the police she had a misunderstanding with Mationg at around 7:20 p.m. on Oct. 17.
Mationg, who was allegedly drunk, struck her with a bamboo stick on the head, causing injury on the latter, the police report stated.
Salbiron and police officers on patrol arrested Mationg and brought him to the district police station at 7:30 p.m. Iloilo City Emergency Response (ICER) team personnel applied first-aid treatment on Salbiron.
At around 8:50 p.m. the following day, Juaren Segovia Nava was stuck on the head with a beer bottle, a police report showed.
Nava said he was having a drink in Barangay Baldoza when a man he identified only as “RJ” attacked him with a Red Horse bottle. Shortly after, four unidentified men stepped on his back, he claimed.
Nava sustained wounds on the head. ICER team personnel applied first-aid treatment on him but advised him to seek further treatment.
