ILOILO City – Their sweet tooth landed them in jail.
Jomar Dela Cruz Coronado and Camille Rosauro Alvarez were accused of stealing chocolate bars from Gaisano City mall in La Paz, a police report showed.
They were arrested and detained at the district police station.
Mall guard Joan Parcon caught them taking the items from a display rack at the mall’s supermarket and leaving the establishment without paying at the counter at around 6 p.m. on Oct. 19, the police report stated.
Two bars of Toblerone worth P342.50 each were found in Alvarez’s pink shoulder bag while a bar of Toblerone worth P681 was seized from Dela Cruz’s waist, police said.
Parcon accosted them and turned them over to the La Paz police station./PN
