BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu was confiscated from two men in a checkpoint in Barangay Pinocutan, Calatrava, Negros Occicental, a police report showed.
They were the 24-year-old Alex Martin Belonio and 36-year-old Cliff Villanueva, both residents of Barangay Poblacion Uno, Sagay City, Negros Occidental, the report further stated.
Belonio and Villanueva were on board a black Honda Wave 125 motorcycle with plate number FI6579 when they were flagged down by the police around 10:50 p.m. on Sunday.
Recovered from their possession were a sachet containing suspected shabu, a lighter and other drug paraphernalia, police said.
Their motorcycle was confiscated, too.
Belonio and Villanueva arrested and detained at the Calatrava police station lockup facility.
They were facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
