Gary Valenciano reassures fans he’s ‘getting stronger every day’

GARY Valenciano received good news earlier today, May 13, when he was finally allowed to be discharged from the hospital.

The “Your Face Sounds Familiar” judge had an emergency heart bypass surgery last May 6 due to a blocked artery in his heart’s main valve.

But the surgery was a success, and Gary returned home today.

His wife, AngeliPangilinan, announced the good news through her social media page on Sunday.

“Last tube out! ‘Let’s get this guy home,’ the cardiologist Dr. Enrique Posas said,” Pangilinan wrote on Instagram.

Although Valenciano had to go to the coronary care unit again on Saturday, Pangilinan said her husband conquered it overnight, and that it was the best Mother’s Day present she could ever ask for.

“God gave me, my mom, our sisters, Samantha, my nieces, my staff, my children &Mamita a wonderful gift. Gary is checking out this morning on Mother’s Day,” she said.

But before going home, Valenciano took time to personally thank all the nurses and doctors who took care of him.

“I could only praise God for his sweet surprises. Time to go home and renew his energy. And His timing is so wonderful – he is coming home on Mother’s Day! God is good,” Pangilinan said.

On his Instagram account, the OPM stalwart posted another video update about his steady recovery.

Hardly showing any signs of post-surgery wear and tear, Gary spoke with his usual spirited demeanor.

He said, “Hi everyone!

“Time to go home, time to press the reset button – not reset, but the pause button paratumuloyulit.

“Just need to recuperate quite a bit.

Medyomahirap pa rinto swallow, but getting better… all the time.

“And getting stronger every day, so…

“God bless you, give glory to Lord…

“And Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms out there.

“A great gift, ‘no? I’m coming home on Mother’s Day!Awww…Love you guys! See ya!” (Pep.ph)
