ILOILO City – Two persons accused of illegal quarry were arrested in Barangay Batuan, Dueñas, Iloilo yesterday.
Anthony Lapid, 31, of the town’s Barangay Poblacion and Ronnie Naylosis, 44, of Barangay Gutao, Dingle, Iloilo were caught at a police checkpoint around 1:44 p.m.
Police said they were driving a truck loaded with sand and gravel.
The suspects failed to show permit to transport the aggregates.
The men were detained at the Dueñas police station./PN
