ILOILO City – Five persons were caught engaging in illegal gambling in Barangay Cano-an, Estancia, Iloilo.
They were Darwin Depomuceno, 26, of Bugasong, Antique; and residents Mark Aguilar, 23; Carl Opiniano, 19; Mike Vargas, 18; and Joel Delos Reyes, 39.
The suspects were caught playing and betting on a pool game around 5:30 p.m. on March 3, police said.
Recovered from their possession were four pieces of cue sticks, 13 cue chips and P40 bet money.
They were detained in the lockup cell of the municipal police station, facing charges./PN
