BACOLOD City – Seven suspected drug peddlers were nabbed in two separate sting operations in Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Six sachets of suspected shabu weighing about six grams valued at around P90,000 were seized from Jeffrey Palparan, 44; Richard Motos, 39; Ronnie Claro, 36; Rhendy Soriba, 31; and Darryn Hinojales, 31 in Barangay Mambulac, a police report showed.
The suspects – all residents of the village – were caught after they sold suspected illegal drugs to an undercover cop for P500 around 2 p.m. on April 7, the report added.
Later that afternoon, police apprehended two more suspects in Barangay Rizal.
They were residents Nilo Jamora, 51, and Ross Elano, 52, police said.
Jamora and Elano yielded six sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 15 grams valued at around P225,000.
The suspects were all detained in the custodial facility of the Silay City police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
