ILOILO City – He was listed as the No. 10 most wanted person at the municipal police station of Balasan, Iloilo.
The 38-year-old Noriel Navarro was arrested around 1 p.m. on April 11, a police report showed.
Navarro – resident of Barangay Napnapan Sur, Tigbauan, Iloilo – was facing rape charges.
His apprehension was staged on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Rene Banzuela-Didulo of the Regional Trial Court Branch 67.
According to the police, the suspect committed the crime in Tigbauan and left his place to hide in Balasan.
Navarro was detained in the lockup cell of the Balasan police station.
The court recommended a P200,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
