ILOILO City – Eight persons were arrested for illegal gambling in Barangay 11, Cabatuan, Iloilo.
They were residents Arthur Mellizas, Cristian Dave Merzo, Marchael Nandin, Earlan John Guilamo, Esmael Montaño Jr., Joseph Angelo Fragados, Jose Martin Sadava, and Carl Dave Sadava, a police report showed.
Police chanced upon them playing poker around 11:55 p.m. on Feb. 10.
Recovered from their possession were decks of playing cards and P170 bet money.
The suspects were detained in the custodial facility of the Cabatuan police station, facing charges./PN
