ILOILO City – Nine people beat him up, he claimed, but he did not know why.
Richard Napacia, 38, of Barangay Tanza Bonifacio, City Proper was walking in the village when two unidentified men approached him, a Police Station 1 report showed.
They suddenly struck him with a hard object on the right shoulder.
Another man emerged from behind him and punched him on the face, causing him to fall to the ground. Six more unidentified men took turns in mauling him, he told the police.
Later, Napacia managed to get up and run to his house, the police report stated.
The incident happened around 2:45 a.m. on July 30.
Police officers told Napacia to go to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district and referred the case to the barangay lupon./PN
