ILOILO City – The police seized seven sachets of shabu from a carinderia (eatery) in Purok 2, Pavia, Iloilo yesterday.
The owner, 38-year-old Federico Jarangue, was detained at the municipal police station.
Around 12:30 p.m. an undercover police officer was able to buy a sachet of shabu from Jarangue inside the eatery.
Six more sachets were recovered after the suspect was arrested.
“I’m not a drug pusher but I admit using shabu. The last time I used it was in January this year,” Jarangue said.
Chief Inspector Jonathan Pinuela, Pavia police chief, said they conducted a “test buy” on Jarangue prior to yesterday’s sting operation.
