Aklan’s No. 1 most wanted for rape falls

AKLAN – Police arrested the province’s No. 1 fugitive for the crime of statutory rape in Barangay Poblacion, Ibajay town, at around 8:08 p.m. on Monday, November 10.

The 35-year-old alias “Toto”, single, and resident of Ibajay, was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the 6th Judicial Region, Branch 3 in Kalibo, Aklan, dated November 7, 2025, with no bail recommended.

Operatives of the 2nd Aklan Provincial Mobile Force Company together with Ibajay Municipal Police Station (MPS), Provincial Intelligence Team Aklan, Regional Intelligence Unit 6, Aklan Trackers Team, and Aklan Police Provincial Office’s Intelligence Unit executed the said arrest.

“This achievement exemplifies our steadfast pursuit of justice and our commitment to sustaining peace and order across Western Visayas. This success highlights the dedication, vigilance, and professionalism of our personnel in ensuring that lawbreakers are held accountable,” said Police Regional Office 6 director Brigadier General Josefino Ligan.

He added: “Let this be a clear warning to lawbreakers: we will relentlessly pursue you until we put you behind bars.”

The suspect is presently under the custody of Ibajay MPS pending turnover to the court concerned./PN
