ANTIQUE – The province no longer has active cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Last Sunday, March 19, the province had no new cases, based on the COVID-19 Provincial Case Bulletin of the Antique Provincial Health Office (PHO).
The one case from Tobias Fornier last March 17 has fully recovered.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, the province listed 10,240 total confirmed cases, of which 9,845 were recovered and 395 were deaths.
Antique PHO Health Promotion Designate Nurse Januz Jereza said despite this, Antiqueños are still being reminded to continue observing minimum public health standards.
“Wearing facemask sa lugar nga matawo especially kung wala ikaw mabakunahan,” said Jereza.
If symptoms of COVID-19 are detected, go to the nearest health facility, he added.
The Antique PHO also encourages Antiqueños not yet vaccinated to get their shots by coordinating with the RHUs.
As of March 6, out of the 95,437 projected population in the province for ages five to 11, 30,264 had received their first dose and 25,882 were fully vaccinated.
For ages 12 to 17, out of the 75,334 projected population, 59,745 received their first dose, and 55,243 are fully vaccinated.
For adults aged 18 to 59, out of the projected 321,677 people, only 239,574 received their first dose, and 231,303 were fully vaccinated.
For booster shots for adults aged 18 to 59, 44,922 received their first booster and 4,776 their second booster.
For adults aged 60 and above, out of the 62,029 projected population, 32,038 received their first dose, and 30,985 are fully vaccinated.
For booster shots for adults aged 60 and above, 7,708 received their first booster and 1,063 received their second booster./PN
