BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu worth about 120,000 was recovered in a drug buy-bust operation in Purok Cereza 2, Barangay 27, police said.

The operation led to the arrest of live-in partners Jenelyn Dela Cruz, 40, and Jeffel Palis, 27 – both residents of Barangay 27.

Officers from the City Drug Enforcement Unit staged the operation on Sunday, recovering from Dela Cruz and Palis seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 10 grams.

The P1,000 marked money was also seized from the suspects, who were detained at the Police Station 4 lockup facility.

Another drug suspect was caught in this capital city on the same day – the 28-year-old Mark Rebosana.

Rebosana was arrested after he allegedly sold shabu to an undercover police officer for P500 in Purok San Jose 2, Barangay Sum-ag.

Rebosana was then brought to Police Station 9 where he was detained.

He, Dela Cruz and Palis were facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
