MANILA – Negrense middle blocker Caroline Santos is set to relocate to De La Salle University Lady Spikers after spending a part of her high school volleyball career with the National University Lady Bullpups.
The Bacolod City native was already training with the Lady Spikers even if the team was still midway in its title-retention bid in the UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball.
“I see myself on the green side,” Santos wrote on her Curious Cat account when asked by a netizen if she will follow her Lady Bullpups teammate Faith Nisperos at Ateneo de Manila University Lady Eagles.
Prior to being recruited to the Lady Bulldogs, Santos suited up for the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City.
She was supposed to be part of Manila team in 2019 Palarong Pambansa in Davao City but was removed following her transfer to DLSU.
The 5-foot-10 Santos will join her fellow Negrenses at the Lady Spikers team in middle blocker Jessa Ordiales and Matet Espina, who was not inserted into the DLSU lineup this season due to an injury.
Santos was the latest player to be recruited by the Lady Spikers the past few days as the team is preparing for the departure of some key players at the end of the ongoing season.
Also committing to the Lady Spikers were 5-foot-10 Julyana Tolentino, Thea Gagate and former De La Salle Zobel Junior Lady Spikers’ Justine Nazareno and Alleiah Malaluan./PN
