BACOLOD City – A man from Bago City, Negros Occidental was facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act of 2004.
He was the 56-year-old Barangay Ma-ao resident Renato Osmeña, a fruit vendor, a police report showed.
Officers from the Bago City police station caught Osmeña on the strength of an arrest warrant that Judge Frances Guanzon of the Regional Trial Court Branch 62 in Bago City issued on March 5.
Osmeña was detained at the Bago City police station lockup facility.
The court recommended an P80,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
