ROXAS City – Four persons were not as lucky as two others in a vehicular crash in Barangay Baybay yesterday.
Patrick James Llave, Johnbert Chinggo, Jomer Baes, and Bryan Macalintal died.
They were declared “dead on arrival” by attending physicians at the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital in the city.
Happy Singh and Joy Gico, meanwhile, were under observation at a private hospital.
Singh was driving a Mitsubishi Mirage with the five others on board from the city proper to Barangay Baybay when they crashed against two coconut trees.
Senior Fire Officer 1 Larry Valois of the Bureau of Fire Protection said the victims were all drunk.
“The coconut trees fell and the vehicle smashed,” Valois said. “Singh, according to some witnesses, was able to walk a few meters from the vehicle but collapsed.”/PN
