SAN JOSE, Antique – A village councilman was shot to death in Barangay Busog, Valderrama, Antique.
Resident Noe Canja, 41, sustained gunshot wounds on the body, a police report showed.
According to police investigators, Canja was crossing a river when he was shot by an unidentified suspect around 6 a.m. on July 9.
Officers of the Valderrama municipal police station have yet to identify the suspect and the motive in the killing./PN
