ILOILO City – Charges for the sale and possession of illegal drugs may be filed against a resident of Barangay Zone 10, Cabatuan, Iloilo.
Jaime Reguera, 44, was arrested in Barangay Zone 5, Santa Barbara town around 11 a.m. yesterday.
Reguera sold to an undercover officer a sachet of suspected shabu for P500. Four more sachets were seized from him, police said.
Senior Inspector Jose Rey Pabalan, Santa Barbara police chief, said they were still trying to determine where and from whom the suspect gets his supply.
“Right now, we have no idea,” Pabalan told Panay News. “We have yet to interrogate him and investigate further.”
Reguera was detained at the Santa Barbara police station. He is facing charges for violation of sections 5 (sale) and 11 (possession) of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Operatives from the Santa Barbara police station and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office staged the buy-bust operation./PN
