ILOILO City – Did somebody try to steal a motorcycle parked in Barangay San Isidro, La Paz district or just poke fun at its owner?
A missing black Kawasaki Fury was found not too far from where it was allegedly stolen in the village yesterday.
Police said somebody from among the residents may have taken the motorcycle and decided to abandon it.
Engr. Jonald Cataloctocan reported to the La Paz police at around 8:45 a.m. that he found his motorcycle missing at around 6 a.m.
Cataloctocan, 29, is a resident of Barangay Lapayon, Leganes, Iloilo.
He said his motorcycle (plate number 9845-IF) was just parked outside his uncle’s house in San Isidro, La Paz where he was temporarily staying.
Operatives from La Paz police station and the Regional Highway Patrol Unit, and San Isidro village councilman Noel Devera searched for the vehicle.
They found the motorcycle around 20 meters away from the uncle’s house at around 1 p.m. Cataloctocan positively identified his vehicle.
Senior Police Officer 2 Jerwin Servano, chief investigator, said they were still trying to identify the culprit as of this writing./PN
